Hi Folks

It is fantastic at the moment to watch everyone training so well and looking really strong and, as far as I know, apart from the odd niggle here and there, we all seem to be running injury free.

Congratulations go to young Jas Fisher who set a new U/14, 3000m LA track record of 10:09. This will come as no surprise to those who have seen mostly the back of her in training recently! Jas's next race will be the State Championships in 3 weeks time over the same distance.

We continue to grow in numbers and in recent weeks have welcomed the Opperman Brothers, Scott, Hamish, Spencer, Sarah and Suzanne - it is great to have you along guys!

Training for the week ahead:

Monday: Oatley Park 6. 00 pm - Steady pace on Marine Drive course. Various options in distance from 5k - 15k

Tuesday: Oatley Park 6. 30 pm - ( Everyone's favourite ) Reps: 2 x 600's, 1 x 800, 1 x 1k, 2 x 600's

Thursday: Scarborough Park ( Hawthorn Street ) - 4. 30 - 6. 00 pm - Fartlek and Intervals.

Saturday: Oatley Park 6. 00 am - TIME TRIAL. Refreshments this month generously supplied by Ron Hill www.ronhilldownunder.com

Sunday: Oatley Clock 6. 00 am - Another long easy run this week heading for the 2 x bridges -Tom Uglys and Captain Cook via Sylvania
Waters and Kogarah Bay.

Hi Folks

A few things happening at the moment. This week online entries will be open for Oatley Park Fun Run, Junior JORG will be introduced to the local schools encouraging them to take part in the fun run, Martin has set up Team JORG for the SMH half marathon, oh and Tuesday is Valentines Day! Julie & Leny will be very busy at "Verdaflore" so get your order in early for free local delivery 9579 6900 (end of commercial).

Another fine week of training with great midweek efforts and the start of some longer runs this weekend - well done everyone!

Training for the week ahead:

Monday: Oatley Park 6.00 pm - Steady pace 7.5 or 10km

Tuesday: Oatley Park 6.30 pm - Reps, 2 x 600's, 2 x800's, 2 x 600's

Thursday: *** New Venue *** Scarborough Park, Hawthorne St, Ramsgate 4.30 pm - 6.00pm.

Saturday: Oatley Park 6.00 am - Steady Pace on Oatley West flat course, some will do 3 x laps increasing tempo.

Sunday : Oatley Clock 6. 00 am - Long easy trot, course and Captain TBC.

Don't forget - Birthday and awards celebration, Sunday 18th March, Oatley RSL!

Hi Folks
 
Another good week of training securely in the bank despite the mixture of weather conditions we have had this week. We are starting to see a very good structure looking towards the Autumn Marathons that will be contested and in general the start of the road and cross country season. I have no doubt that everyone will do very well!
 
Our Oatley Park Fun Run plans are full steam ahead and enjoyed some National press this week with a write up in the R4YL running magazine and the Sunday Telegraph Body+Soul magazine - so we are moving in the direction!
 
Training for the week ahead:
 
Monday: Oatley Park 6.00pm - Steady pace 7.5 or 10k options.
 
Tuesday: Oatley Park 6.30pm - Reps, 6 x 600's.
 
Thursday: Oatley Park 5.00pm - Fartlek.
 
Saturday: Oatley Park 6.00am - Steady out and back run with neg split.
 
Sunday: Oatley Clock 6.00am - " MENAI " course - don't panic, nice and easy!!
