There were plenty of JORG placegetters at the Hidden Half-marathon and the 5km Mayoral Walk/Fun Run held at Lake Gillawarna near Bankstown on Fathers Day.  Perfect conditions saw a large contingent of JORG members attend the event, conducted by Westies Joggers.

All participants in the 5km event received places in their respective age categories.

posted Aug 25, 2012, 3:25 AM by Patrick V

JORG was crowned the No. 1 Team in the City to Surf (Athletic/Sporting Clubs Division) following outstanding performances by Chadi Elashkar, Robbie Neill and Dylan McCuaig-Walton.  The trio clocked a combined time of 2:24:17, giving them an almost 2 minute lead over second placegetters, ACTRUN team.
To cap this achievement, Dylan was clipped from behind and lost one of his shoes around the half way mark, continuing the race with just one shoe.
A host of other JORG members also participated in the event, many recording PBs.

JORG jubilant in July

The month of July saw a swag of personal bests, category places, debut marathoners and above all participation by over 50 JORG members in over a dozen events. The Gold Coast Marathon and it's associated events saw 29 JORG members take part with great results and equally enjoyable socialising.  This was followed by a strong turnout of up and coming stars at the 4 Junior JORG sessions held at Oatley Park.

The Sydney Harbour 10k, Sutherland to Surf, Hunter Valley Running Festival and the M7 Marathon were just some of the other events in which JORG members participated.

It's obvious that JORG is THE running club to be with!
